Welcome to 6th Grade!
I am very excited about spending this year with all of you.  I have created this blog as a means to help keep parents and students informed of news from our class.  All students will have homework assignment books, which parents should check daily, but longer term projects will be posted here as well.  Also, news of field trips and in-school special events will be posted.
I cannot wait to hear how everyone spent their summer vacation!  We will be using the Memory Bags to create a handmade book detailing some of our summer highlights.  The highlight of my summer was holding a 6 1/2 week old eagle.  I could not believe how calm and fearless it was and how large it was!  The eagle's nest had fallen out of the tree and wildlife personnel were building a new nest and returning the eaglet to it's nest after a week in a rehab center.  All the while, the parent eagles were circling overhead!
